February 3, 2025 – February 9, 2025 – Welcome to week 1 of My Journey to the Top 1%, where I will share my progress and experiences.
Health & Fitness Progress
This week, I focused on consistency and tracking, laying the foundation for long-term success. Here’s what I accomplished:
- Weigh-ins: Every morning, I stepped on my Withings Body Smart Scale, which synced automatically with Apple Health. I started the week at 248.9 lbs and ended at 242.1 lbs, dropping 6.8 lbs in total.
- Macronutrient Tracking: I logged all my meals in the Macrofactor app, gaining a deeper understanding of my typical foods and their macro breakdowns.
- Caloric Intake: I successfully tracked all my meals to try and stay under 2,000 kcal per day.
- New Fitness Tracker: My Whoop fitness and wellness tracker arrived on Wednesday night, allowing me to track my sleep, strain, and recovery.
- Body Measurements: On February 10th, I measured a total loss of 4 inches across my body compared to February 3rd.
- New Habits: I started waking up at 6 AM, eating breakfast daily, and making sure to move my body every day.
- Challenges: Despite these improvements, I felt sluggish and unhappy adjusting to healthier food choices and a more structured daily routine.
Where Do I Need to Be for the Top 1% in Health?
- Body Fat Percentage: The top 1% of body composition for men is 8-10% body fat.
- Strength: Top 1% lifters can bench 1.5x body weight, squat 2x body weight, and deadlift 2.5x body weight.
Knowledge & Learning Progress
- I’ve been learning a lot about macronutrients and healthy eating, and I’ll be writing a detailed blog post soon to share my insights.
- Currently reading Deep Work by Cal Newport, a book about eliminating distractions and improving focus for high productivity.
Where Do I Need to Be for the Top 1% in Knowledge?
- Reading Speed & Retention: Top performers read 500+ books in a lifetime and retain 60%+ of key insights.
- Skills & Expertise: The most successful individuals dedicate 10,000+ hours to mastering valuable skills.
Wealth & Financial Progress
While this week was heavily focused on health and routine, my financial goals remain a priority.
Where Do I Need to Be for the Top 1% in Wealth?
- Net Worth: The top 1% net worth in the U.S. is approximately $11 million+.
- Annual Income: The top 1% of earners in the U.S. make at least $650,000+ per year.
Attractiveness & Personal Presence
- I’m tracking my physical transformation, but beyond fitness, I’m also refining my style, grooming, and confidence.
- Aiming for top 1% attractiveness metrics, which include lean body composition, facial symmetry, and strong posture.
Where Do I Need to Be for the Top 1% in Attractiveness?
- Body Fat %: 8-10% for an aesthetic, athletic look.
- Height & Symmetry: While height is genetic, lean muscle mass and facial structure can be optimized.
- Confidence & Charisma: High-status individuals master social skills, leadership, and presence.
Final Thoughts
This was Week 1, and while I made significant progress, I know I have a long road ahead.

Challenges ⚠️:
- Adjusting to healthier food choices was tough
- Energy levels fluctuated
This is just the beginning. I’m building the systems and habits to reach the Top 1% in health, knowledge, wealth, and personal presence.
